The brief

The 9th edition of STIFF, the International Student Film Festival in Rijeka, needed a visual identity for the festival week at Art-kino: posters, outdoor advertising and merchandise that would work on the street and on screen.

The approach

The theme “Play: No Restrictions” is treated literally. The lettering borrows from early arcade games: isometric block letters on a blue grid for the main poster, and a pixel font with a Galaga style spaceship for the second variant. The two share a palette and a system, so they can be mixed freely across formats.

The outcome

The system was rolled out to citylights, tote bags, badges and stickers, plus an animated version of the poster for social media.
