Illustration and layout for a Croatian edition of Oscar Wilde’s The Happy Prince.
The brief
Design a complete edition of Wilde’s short story: cover, typesetting and illustrations.
The approach
Two colours carry the story: the swallow’s blue and the prince’s gold leaf, which flakes away across the pages as the tale unfolds. Illustrations bleed into the text block rather than sitting in frames, so the type and image share one page.
The outcome
A finished book, from cover to colophon, ready for print.
